Cave of La Pasiega, Puente Viesgo, Cantabria.
'Architectural' expressions of primitive men dealt just with the most necessary: buildings for access, storing and ventilation. In this case we can find up to seven entries. Only two are open. ![]() Today this cave is divided into four galleries. The biggest is the A; it is ca.75 m.long. The cave was discovered at 1911 by H. Obermaier and P. Wernert, who worked in a next cave. From this time many studies and researchs have been done: tools, paintings... In our days this cave is explored by Balbin and Gonzalez Sainz. | |
